Cordeliers of paris, / 300 feet long and 90 wide, in which lie the bodies of several royal people, and the most noble of france, and quantity of insignia, religious, and famous doctors of the order, as will be seen in the history which will appear in brief. / - a - the church - b - the chapels - c - gallery of saint bonaventure which leads to the heart - d - part of the cantors' dormitory - e - side of the cloister along the church - f - part of the courtyard or parterre of the cloister, where there are cy-/pas planted - g - stone cross erected in the said courtyard. / /nº3 northern prospect of the three-storey building corresponding to the e-/church of the large convent of p. B-the 3 views are found in the roy bibl. (see 2. Of the ec. Of medicine) accompanied by a 4th. So bad/and so little picturesque which was not worth the effort of being copied. These 4 very bad engravings and 3 times larger/than the copy behind, perhaps date from a period prior to the fire of this convent in 1580. The spelling/references alone seem to indicate a more modern date. In any case the buildings shown here are, without a doubt,/(at least in part) those founded by st. Louis, which makes these very curious nasty images - (they are/drawn or engraved by: i. René rocheran breton, cordelier. D. D d-" iconographic description: 3 drawings of the cordeliers convent (6th arrondissement). We see in the middle drawing the courtyard of the convent and in the background the refectory. We see in the center drawing the south side of the convent church, a gallery and to the right, the dormitory. We see in the bottom drawing the north side of the church, the dormitories, the cloister and a stone cross in the parterre institution: carnavalet museum, history of paris inventory number: d. 11545. Date: Entre 1801 et 1900.
