A man in peasant clothing with a tall pointed hat seated on a chair in profile to right, in front of a large stone fireplace, lighing his pipe, watched by a dog; inside the fireplace, a shelf with vessels, a pot hanging above firewood, and fish hanging against the wall, and close to the chair a stick and basket; after decamps lithograph on buff chine collé.
