Xu da (1332-1385), courtesy name tiande, was a native of yongfeng township, zhongli, haozhou (now northeast of fengyang, anhui), and was a founding hero of the ming dynasty. At the end of the yuan dynasty, xu da joined zhu yuanzhang's army and followed him to defeat chen youliang and zhang shicheng. Zhu yuanzhang was appointed as the left prime minister. In the twenty-seventh year of the zhizheng period (1367), he was appointed as the general who conquered the captives. Together with his deputy general chang yuchun, he made a northern expedition to the central plains and captured the capital of the yuan dynasty. After that, troops were sent out in successive years to attack the forces of the northern yuan dynasty. He became the prime minister of zhongshu province and was granted the title of duke of wei. He is also the father-in-law of zhu di, the founder of ming dynasty. After his death, zhu yuanzhang posthumously named him king of zhongshan. Date: 17th century.
