Gallapagos Islands 1684, John Russell

Galapagos islands, described by ambrose cowley in 1684. John russell's revision of cowley's original map, with the note the island santa maria de l'aguada, according to its situation from albemarle island, is added from the chart published by mr. Arrowsmith. The map continues to use longitude reckoned from the lizard, a cape in western cornwall, rather than the greenwich observatory. Date: 1816, revision of a 1684 map.
