Jean abel marie de beausire de seyssel (1890-1914), of the famous montmiral promotion (1912-1914) of the special military school of saint-cyr, second lieutenant in the 172nd infantry regiment at the start of the first world war, was killed by the enemy in the bois d'ailly (moselle), on october 2, 1914. "for his fine conduct in the bois d'ailly affair", he received, posthumously, the knight's cross of the legion of honor as well as the croix de guerre with palm. Date: circa 1914.
