Description the dam looking at the old house corner of eggertstraat and corner of damrak - renovated - the statue of the dutch virgin (demolished in 1913). Dam north side seen towards the entrance of the nieuwendijk, with in the foreground the 'monument in memory of the popular spirit of 1830-1831'.
