Plate 165: pygmalion to left, in a tunic and sandals, his left arm raised, his right hand holding the hand of the naked galatea, who has come to life, as he helps her descend the steps from her plinth, a cherub between them faces the viewer, resting on pygmalion's raised knee and holding onto his arm; flowers on the steps, a window to right, the curtain partially drawn to reveal the setting sun (?), which lights the scene; after tassaert. 1858 hand-coloured lithograph on grey chine collé.
