In-8º, in the 25 deliveries there are 25 frontispieces by vinkeles and vrydag, 77 figures by bulthuis, vinkeles and vrydag and 79 portraits by claessens and portman. The government employed 20,000 workers in montmartre, which parisians said was a platform for artillery. This is why the patriots seized it and installed a battery there to protect paris. Cf. E. L.
