Sarcophagi in the Istanbul Archaeological Museum

Sarcophagi in the istanbul archaeological museum. Tabnit sarcophagus (6c bc), an anthropoid (human-shaped) stone coffin that, according to the egyptian hieroglyphs on the cover, once belonged to peneptah, an egyptian commander. Another inscription, in phoenician alphabet, also states that tabnit, king of sidon was the succeeding possessor of the sarcophagus. [1].
