Landscape with sexological inscription. Paper, dimensions unknown, without apparent signature or seal. This painting bears a long and very important inscription. This work, valuable both for its artistic quality and its documentary significance, was for a long time in a small antique shop in hong kong; sold at a small price to a passing american visitor. Without any trace since, it is to be feared that it is now definitively lost. Fortunately, lee kwok-wing obtained a photo of it from the antique dealer. This unique document is reproduced on plate 59. Date: between 1814 and 1849.
