Aspertini sketch-book (so-called london i): 2nd opening left-hand page (1898,112. 3(2) verso) with silene and a satyr; pan casting a ram's head into a sacrificial flame and, below, a procession towards an altar; right-hand page (1898,1123. 3(3) recto) with the flagellation of pan before an altar attended by a woman; and, below, supplicating barbarians c. 1535 pen and brown ink, brown wash, heightened with white, on vellum prepared with a green wash.
