Germania in ketten - der cherusker möge sie sprengen ("germania in chains") ludwig fahrenkrog (1867 – 1952) was a german painter, illustrator, sculptor and writer. He attended the berlin royal art academy before being appointed a professor in 1913. He taught at the school of arts and crafts in bremen from 1898 to 1931. He was also involved in the founding of a series of (neopagan) and völkisch (german ethno-nationalist) religious groups in the early 20th century, as part of a movement to create what its adherents referred to as a "germanic religious community". Germanic mythology; heathenism; neopaganism; "thule swastika"; mjölnir (hammer of thor); etc. No known copyright restrictions. Date: before 1952.
