The steamship frederik den siette was the first steamship built in denmark, although the machinery was imported from england. Delivered from jacob holms shipyard in copenhagen in 1830, and employed on the copenhagen-kiel line. Wrecked in 1845. Original painting is at the landesmuseum in schleswig. Text from frit hav.
