"alterius iovis altera tela" plate 39 from volume 3 of the work infanterie et gardes françaises, around 1721. The plates were created for the education of louis xv. Robert d'hermand compiled 25 volumes for this purpose, 15 of which are still preserved today. The artworks are by charles parrocel and jacques antoine delaistre. Most of the images have a prefabricated frame, executed as a copperplate engraving. The work remained unfinished. Paris, musée de l'armée, inventory no. 10851. Date: circa 1721.
