This ecce homo comes from the capuchin convent of the city of cádiz, like all the works of bartolomé esteban murillo that are preserved in the museum of cádiz, and it is a work of ancient devotion and very famous in the city, in which the close connection of the painter with popular religious sensitivity is evident.
