Here is a spectacular direct view of the renovated hôtel de ville from the place d'arcole. After the paris commune's near-complete destruction of many parts of the hôtel de ville, it was up to many public architects - such as magne - to plan the reconstruction of the monument during the late 1870s and 1880s.
