"this poor day laborer, unjustly condemned to the death penalty, as if convicted of an assassination, on the testimony of two people who said they recognized him by the light of the priming of a rifle, is recognized as innocent according to the experiments of mr. Lefebvre-gineau [louis lefèvre-gineau (1751-1829)], which proved the impossibility of such recognition, and consequently the falsity of the testimony this cause was, on the recommendation of mr. De balleroy [michel moulland, parish priest of balleroy (died in 1831)], pleaded by mr.
