It is father henri louwerse, born september 19, 1878, died february 7, 1946. Father louwerse was baptized, but not in the catholic church. Before his entry into oosterhout, father a. Rijken, op. , issued a statement from the dominican monastery in huissen that he was "a ministro acatholico valide baptizatus est", i. E. Validly baptized by a non-catholic minister. (declaration of may 23, 1908). He was ordained a priest in oosterhout in 1914. As a monk he created a lot of ecclesiastical art, such as sculptures, designs of chalices and other liturgical vessels and liturgical vestments. Father louwerse was also a painter-draughtsman. He studied ecclesiastical antiquity and taught liturgy and patristics at the anselm college in rome for four years. Because of his health he returned to oosterhout, where (according to the necrologium) he was very faithful in obedience and service to his fellow brothers and he sought god. ".
