Scene from the kabuki play 'yoru no tsuru omoi no yukidoke', with the actors nakamura utaemon iv as karaki shinsuke (left), being held back by bandō shūka as o-moto, the wife of shinsuke (centre), ichimura uzaemon xii as tomiya jinbei (right) with his hand on a stone tomb, protecting a figure behind him. Date: 1849 1st lunar month.
