Workshop-studio of the masriera, at number 72 of carrer bailèn, between diputació and consell de cent. The building still stands today in the form of a classical temple with six corinthian columns, crowned by a triangular pediment at the ends of which there are two cranes, mythological animals that are half eagles and half lions. The work of the architect josep vilaseca i casanovas, it was inaugurated on april 28, 1884 and housed the goldsmith workshop of the brothers francesc and josep masriera i manovens, who came from a well-established family of jewellers. The building was inspired by the roman temple of augustus in barcelona's mons taber.
