The polyptych is a pictorial composition, composed of nine panels, painted on wood, plus two eyelets (or roundels) and a predella. Starting from the bottom and from the left of the viewer, the paintings represent sant'egidio abate, the adoration of the magi, and san nicola vescovo. Followed by saint catherine of alexandria, saint mary magdalene and saint martha. Finally, saint john the baptist, the resurrection and saint peter the apostle. The two tondos represent the archangel gabriel and the virgin mary, celebrating the event of the annunciation. The predella represents magdalene's preaching in provence.
