Ono no Komachi Asks for Water: Ichikawa Danjûrô on a Boat, Kuniyasu, 1830

The actor ichikiawa danjûrô vii (1791-1859) standing on a boat with a pipe in his hand. Shakuyakutei's poem talks about 'sasou mizu', asking for water, a well-known phrase from a poem by ono no komachi.
