Portrait of mr. And mrs. James b. Ricords. Mr. Ricords was part of mulford and ricords, undertakers that could be found at 6 second street between market and chestnut. For their portrait they both wear long necklaces. Mrs. Ricords also wears rings, earrings, a large broach and holds something in her hand that could be a purse. Their cheeks and lips are colored with pink pigment. "waterbury, conn. No. 842" is engraved in the bottom of the daguerreotype's frame. Title: mr. And mrs. James b. Ricords. Date: 1852.
