Natalia Dolgorukova, Ivan Makarov, 1850s

I. Makarov. Portrait of n. V. Dolgorukaya. Oil on canvas, 1850s. Far eastern art museum. It is exhibited in the far eastern art museum as the work of a. T. Markov, however, at i. Makarov’s personal exhibition in the pushkin museum (2012) it is stated that this is a mistake and that makarov is the author. The same artist painted a portrait of her son nikolai (see below). Before the revolution, the portrait of the princess was in the family estate of volynshchina near moscow, as evidenced by photographic evidence. Natalya vladimirovna dolgorukova, nee orlova-davydova (1833-1885), daughter of v. P. Orlova-davydov (1810-1882) and o. I. Baryatinskaya (1814-1876), wife of dmitry nikolaevich dolgorukov (1827-1910). Date: 1850s.
