carl fredrik hamilton af hageby was a baron and court marshal. He was the son of hugo johan hamilton af hageby and eva catharina henriksdotter falkenberg af trystorp. He was married to christina anna brahe (1717-1739) who died in childbirth, see auction number 702. His second wife was helena margareta wrangel af adinal. Carl fredrik hamilton inherited bogesund castle in uppland after the death of his first wife in 1739 and lived there until his death in 1753. After 1748, he also held boo fideicommiss in närke and hedenlunda in södermanland. His first wife was the sister of ulrika juliana brahe (1704-1765) married to nils gyllenstierna af björksund and helgö (1670-1731), whose lacquer seal is on the verso. Date: 1 January 1740.
