Gertrud von hochburg's father wants her to marry the squire plump von pommerland, but she allows herself to be eloped by the knight karl von eichenhorst, with whom she is in love. During a duel, karl von eichenhorst defeats the squire and the father still agrees to the marriage. On the right a scene based on the poem 'die weiber von weinsberg'. It is an adaptation of a well-known story in which the women of the weinsberg carry their men out of the city on their backs after the conquest of their city in 1140 by conrad iii. Manufacture.
