Illustration by poul steffensen from the danish novel gjøngehøvdingen by carit etlar which takes place during and after the dano-swedish war in 1657-1658. Ib abelsøn tells his sister ane marie how some swedish soldiers tortured their ill sister soffi to her dead earlier that day when she didn't tell them the whereabouts of her ladys money.
