At the opening of the baltic exhibition on 15 may 1914, the sun shone from a blue sky. Many royals came to visit to be part of the great event that reverberated throughout europe. Crown prince gustaf adolf and crown princess margareta opened the exhibition after the king, gustav v, was forced to withdraw at the last moment.
