Illustration by poul steffensen from the danish novel gjøngehøvdingen by carit etlar which takes place during and after the dano-swedish war in 1657-1658. Svend poulsen, gøngehøvdingen has come aware that his man tam is going to betray him by leading the swedish captain kernbok to him. But svend poulsen pretends to be tam and tricks kernbok to follow him into the forrest. Here he reveal himself to the surprise of the kernbok. Kernbok freely surrender but they are both aware that his soldiers are nearby. Svend poulsen (app. 1610 - app. 1679) was a real person but the story is fiction.
