iconographic description:
demolition of the pyramid of jean châtel (4th arrondissement). We see a pedestal with a rectangular step surmounted by a small four-sided monument, each face consisting of two square bases placed at the corners and surmounted by ionic pilasters thus framing a rectangular panel. Above each face is placed a triangular pediment and the whole is covered with an entablature decorated with a garland surmounted by a crowning of arched pediments with lateral projections and an interrupted base. We can see behind this building, a crane and to the left a door surmounted by a niche and framed by two facades. On the right are several shops leaning against a wall in which a semi-circular door opens topped by two turrets
