Field post letters from hans koch, vienna, world war ii, eastern front, 1922-1945 previous letter (1942-08-14) letter no. 91 (1942-08-26) next letter (1942-08-27) envelope: front back text [now] i must interrupt my writing; the band is practicing in our barracks yard and they are playing a potpourri of viennese songs; i couldn't stay seated. Yes, it is wonderful in our beloved vienna. I've settled in nicely here, it's very nice here, but home is home. Now listen, dear mum, i'm sending you two negative pictures. It takes too long to have prints made, please take them to a photographer as soon as possible and have prints made; 3 of the ones where i am with the older comrades, and 2 of the ones with the younger ones where some of the others are going in through the door. Of the three, keep one at home and send me the other two straight away. Of the second, keep one at home and send one to me. Just talk to the photographer and ask him to do it soon. The pictures were taken in our barracks. Date: 26 August 1942.
