Anton fuerst radizwill (1775-1833) lithograph by faustino anderloni after a drawing by wilhelm hensel. He held the post of governor of the grand duchy of posen from 1815 and was a member of the prussian state council. In addition to his professional activities, he enjoyed mathematics and music. He was an excellent tenor, played the violin cello masterfully and created extraordinary compositions. His most important compositional work is the music for goethe's "faust", which occupied the composer until his death. The completed parts were performed in the presence of the entire court as early as may 24, 1820.
