Interior: the nave, the stands on the ground floor. And floor, the semicircular arch, the vestibules, the framework, the hemicycle with the choir, the altar, the pulpit, the paneling. Facade: door, doric columns, entablature, cornice, pediment, partitions, arched bay, frame, bell tower, cross. Historical commentary:
built in 1812, the protestant church of billettes (current 4th arrondissement) very quickly became too cramped. The duchess of orléans had to intervene to demand the opening of a new temple. Inaugurated in july 1843, the temple of redemption is the conversion into a sanctuary of a former customs hall (completed in 1826 by lusson, architect 1790-1864). Outside, gau was forced to respect the main original lines and limited himself to building the portal of the facade. Inside, he modified almost everything for the sake of austerity. Gau created other religious buildings (sainte clothilde) and civil buildings (grande-roquette prison). The campanile will never be built (intrigues and lack of credits). Institution: carnavalet museum, history of paris
inventory number: d. 11920. Date: between 1837 and 1847.
