Pram and knud lyne rahbek, the editors of the weekly minerva (symbolized by the owls on their shoulders and the helmet on one's head). Pram had published the poem "stærkodder" and rahbek reviewed it favorably in their joint journal. The images in the background allude to the magazine's content.
