Vignette from naval chronicle: howe's queen charlotte is shown on the starboard tack with double-reefed topsails and flying the union flag (as commander-in-chief) on the main, leading through the french line. She is followed by rear-admiral sir thomas pasley's bellerophon, raking the french to both sides. Date: 1799.
