Vertical rectangle. Full-length of a man, facing the spectator, his head turned toward the left. His right hand is at this hip, the left gesturing. He wears an elaborate brocaded costume, with an ermine-lined cape over it. On his head a turban adored with a plume and jewels. A sword is at his side. Date: 1719. Dimensions: H x W: 28.3 × 21.6 cm (11 1/8 × 8 1/2 in.). Medium: gray wash, pen and gray ink, pencil on paper. Collection: Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.
