Illustration by poul steffensen from the danish novel gjøngehøvdingen by carit etlar which takes place during and after the dano-swedish war in 1657-1658. Twenty swedish horsemen lead by colonel sparre rides through the forest towards jungshoved castle in order to occupy it. It has just snowed and is now bitterly cold.
