Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 499, 4 November 1917

499. Tombstone with a cross in the cemetery of the village. Jefferli - yuchorman, kavarnensko, carved from white limestone. The cross is four-winged, its lower wing being longer than the other three. The face of the cross is carved so that two relief and two incised crosses are formed. Symmetrical drawing, good technique. By comparison with the crosses dated here, it appears to be no newer than them - around 1850. It is overgrown with moss. Dimensions: 48x34x17 cm. Sketched on 4. Xi. 1917. (vol. 10, obr. 4. ). Date: 4 November 1917.
