Ii. 42. Dearest parents! sending you my warmest greetings from here. Yes, you must have been surprised when the cards came from zakopane. I was in stenzyca until january 30th. Then i and 10 men were assigned here. The other comrades were all envious of us. We then drove via deblin to radom. We stayed there for a while. Then we continued on the d train to krakow. There we went to the wehrmacht barracks. Our train to zakopane left at 4. 53 a. M. From then on the trip was beautiful and we were already in the tatra mountains. Finally. Date: 2 February 1942.
