Seated upon clouds are a woman beside a lamb and an armoured woman holding a column. An angel holding the tiara flies over them, another one shouldering the keys at left, a genius blowing the trumpet, at right. Four animals are shown at the foot of the group: a seal, a unicorn, an eagle with a double head (referring to austria or russia), a lion crouching on a fork (england). Written on top, in pencil: "trionfo della mansuetudine e della fortezza. " [triumph of gentleness and strength]. Date: circa 1780. Dimensions: 27.1 x 34.5 cm (10 11/16 x 13 9/16 in.).
