In publisher's illustrated covers. Cover no. 1 designed by ivan bilibin. Tears in the edges, creases, blocks falling apart into pages. Editor z. I. Grzhebin, publisher s. P. Yuritsyn. The issues were confiscated and destroyed, and the magazine itself was banned. The first issue was published in two editions, but each issue is a great rarity. The magazine featured: gorky, bunin, kuprin, anisfeld, bilibin, lanceray, serov and others. Traditionally, the composition is associated with the events of january 9, 1905 in st. Petersburg. According to i. S. Zilberstein and v. A. Samkov, it depicts the dispersal of a demonstration in moscow, near the school of painting, sculpture and architecture in october 1905. Date: 1900s.
