South africa war memorial, haymarket, newcastle upon tyne. Dedicated to the memory of 373 men who were killed whilst serving with the northumbrian regiments. It was unveiled in 1908 and the designer and sculptor was thomas eyre macklin. Newcastle libraries accession number 031367. Date: circa 1910.
