Basel1813, Karl Jauslin, 1814

The allies crossed basel in 1813 on the afternoon of january 12, 1814, the austrian emperor franz i came to basel and took up residence in the blue house on the rheinsprung. Tsar alexander i (1777-1825) took up residence in the segerhof on blumenrain. The prussian king friedrich wilhelm iii (1770-1840) was quartered in the teutonic knights' house on rittergasse. On january 13, 1814, around midday, they rode back to grossbasel over the bridge, surrounded by troops. Date: 1814.
