Recto: the virgin stands on a cloud in the center of the composition, holding a crown. She is surrounded on either side by visitors bearing gifts. In the background god the father sits overlooking the scene. On the left a youth stands in veneration on top of a large monster head. Verso: young man’s head facing right. Date: circa 1630. Dimensions: 28.3 x 22.6 cm (11 1/8 x 8 7/8 in.), irregular. Medium: gouache, graphite, laid paper, pen and brown ink, watercolor. Collection: Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.
