The house was built in 1922 by max taut for the commercial director richard müller. In 1928 it was bought by silent film star asta nielsen, who spent the summer months here with her daughter until 1935 and named the house karusel (danish for carousel). An exhibition in the house commemorates asta nielsen and max taut. The house later served as a residential building, and today it is used for exhibitions.
