Later copy of a portrait of the franciscan friar elia da cortona by the painter giunta pisano, coming from a biography written in the magazzino toscano d'instruzione e di pleasure, published in livorno by anton santini and companions, 1755, volume ii, page 390: the figure is surrounded by the writing «iesu christe pie miserere precantis elias», which was part of the signature placed by the painter on the friar's crucifix elia, shaped by him in 1236 and later lost.
