So-called "real photo postcard", here number 5 from series c by friedrich astholz with the title "hannover. High-rise with planetarium. " the view goes from the goseriede - green and still partly surrounded by a wall - towards the anzeiger high-rise, in front of which cars are parked alongside bicycles and a horse-drawn carriage. To the right of the building is the goseriedebad (later the headquarters of the kestnergesellschaft with a tower behind it). To the left of the high-rise is the office building of the striehl orphans foundation, on whose site the sparkasse an der goseriede was built after the second world war. Date: circa 1928.
