The courtyard of the hunting lodge on an autumn afternoon from the south with a small rowan tree bearing fruit and chestnuts that are beginning to change color. The painter's location was in the extreme southeast corner. The door on the east side is no longer there, the pump that was in the eastern part is now in the western part. In keeping with the hunting lodge, the staffage shows two horses held by grooms from which the hunters have dismounted, one of which is dragging a hare. The format is unusually large for the time. Object Type: painting. Date: circa 1832. Dimensions: height: 101.5 cm (39.9 in) ; width: 142.3 cm (56 in). Medium: oil on canvas. Collection: Jagdschloss Grunewald.
