portrait of the princess of aremberg. Bust representation, left profile in a medallion. Historical commentary:
the ibn biographical dictionary indicates under "aremberg" two women, ("aremberg" can be written "arenberg"). They have the title of princess-duchess. It was in 1576 that emperor maximilian ii established the county of arenberg as a principality. The first is pauline d'aremberg, born in 1774 and died in 1810, she is the wife of joseph fürst von schwarzenberg. The second is sophie karoline marie d'aremberg, born in 1811 and died in 1901, poet, she is the wife of prince and duke ernest d'aremberg. Acquisition mode: unknown acquisition mode
