genre scene. Outdoor scene: military encampment, tent, architecture with dome, trees. Characters: a russian soldier invites a woman to sit down, wearing a high hat decorated with flowers and feathers and holding a parasol, while another soldier comes to greet the woman clinging to the arm of the first. A soldier, near a table on which a bottle is placed, witnesses the scene. In the background, a soldier feeds his horse, a child observes a soldier trying to kiss a merchant while she hands him fruit, while two soldiers chat. The spears are raised against a tree.
